Topshop haul.

Dress, £20 - Topshop
Three set of feather earrings, £1.50 from £7.50 - Topshop
Pearl square shape earrings, £2.50 from £10.00 - Topshop.

So yesterday, my next door neighbour called down, and we haven't seen each other in literally ages, I think the last time I saw her socially was like August, so we decided we'd have a little run out somewhere cos I needed to kill time before work and she needed a dress for her staff night out. So we decided to have a little drive to the shops about twenty minutes away from our house, cos there was apparently nothing in town and the other city close to home was too far away when I had to be back for work.
So when we got there, the pair of us decided to have a wander round Outfit.
And I managed to pick up some pretty good deals.

I managed to pick up a couple of pairs of earrings, I've been lusting after one of the sets I got for months now. They're quite chunky, with little pearls on, but it wasn't till I got them home I noticed there was one little pearl missing from them. However, it's not noticeable unless you're looking for it, and I'm more likely to wear these while my hair's down, although I did wear them to work tonight to see what they looked like. They were reduced in the sale, from £10.00 to £2.50, plus I got 20% student discount so I managed to save quite a bit on them.

I then went for an amble around the clothes, and managed to pick up this dress. I'd been looking at it online and came to the conclusion that I needed it in my life. My cousins are coming down tomorrow and I always try and look decent for when they come in order to makeup for the fact that when we go on holiday together I always look like a total scruff. My camera quality is absolutely awful (I got a new one for Christmas and I'm still trying to work it out so please bear with me), but the dress is a sort of plummy-red colour, and it looks a lot more flattering on than on the hanger. I was in two minds as to whether to buy it or not, but I'm so glad I did now.
I'm planning on wearing this dress with a pair of patterned tights and my new ankle boots with a cardigan tomorrow. It was £20 for the dress, then with my student discount obviously the price went down.

I then found the set of three earrings and decided that they were an absolute bargain and I had to have them, mainly cos the purpley-red earrings matched the dress I was buying and also matched another dress I own in a similar colour.

Has anyone else been hitting the Topshop sales? Absolutely loving them at the moment!!

First blog post.

So for quite a while, I've been reading the likes of hollyarabella, Chyaz etc, I've decided I'm gonna give beauty blogging a go. I've literally got no idea how this'll turn out. I actually meant to start this at Christmas, but I had several assignments to do before I went back to university and totally put this to one side.

So I thought I'd just do a little introductory post and totally started blogging/reviews tomorrow.
So my name's Catherine, I'm 19 and I'm a English student from the North East of England. I've got a lovely boyfriend, the best friends I could wish for and an amazingly mad family.

Hair and beauty wise, I'm a bit of a rookie. I've decided though that each time I get paid, I'm gonna buy at least one item of makeup. I get paid weekly so this may be a bad idea, but hey, it's worth a shot.

So thanks for reading and I'll hopefully post something over the next few days, whether it's a review or what.
